At present it is not restricted to members only, but if we find that it is being abused, then it will be necessary to do so.

One point that requires explanation is "Click here to receive daily updates", and the corresponding check boxes on the "Post a Response" and "Post an Article" pages.  The effect of using any of these is that you are put onto the distribution list for a message that is sent out whenever the message board has been updated the previous day.  And with each message that you receive there is an option to "unsubscribe", so you are not signed up permanently.
